The development of information and communication technology has driven massive growth in digital transactions, whether in the financial sector, e-commerce, or public services. Behind the convenience and efficiency offered, digital transactions also pose serious risks to the protection of users' personal data. Data leaks, misuse of information, and cybercrime are real threats that can harm individuals and institutions. This article aims to examine the concept of personal data protection in digital transactions, the legal framework that regulates it in Indonesia, as well as the challenges and efforts to strengthen personal data protection. The method used is a literature study by analysing laws and regulations, scientific journals, and related literature. The results of the study show that personal data protection is a crucial aspect in building public trust in the digital ecosystem and requires synergy between regulation, technology, and user awareness.
