Abstract

Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are the backbone of the national economy, playing an important role in employment and income distribution. However, the sustainability of MSMEs often faces serious challenges due to unfair business practices. This article aims to analyse the impact of unfair business competition on the sustainability and development of MSMEs. The method used in this study is a literature review, examining various literature, laws and regulations, and relevant previous research results. The results of the study show that unfair business competition, such as monopolies, cartels, predatory pricing, and abuse of dominant positions, has a negative impact on MSMEs, both in terms of reduced income, limited market access, and decreased competitiveness. Therefore, the active role of the government and the enforcement of fair business competition laws are necessary to protect MSMEs and create a healthy business climate.
