PENGEMBANGAN PEMBELAJARAN PAI BERBASIS MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KECERDASAN SPIRITUAL SISWA

This study aims to develop a Multiple Intelligences (MI)-based Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning model to enhance students' spiritual intelligence. The background of this study stems from the low effectiveness of IRE learning, which tends to be teacher-centred and emphasises cognitive aspects. The research method used was Research and Development (R&D) with the Borg & Gall model, which included the stages of needs analysis, model design, expert validation, limited testing, revision, and field testing. The results showed that the application of Multiple Intelligences-based learning was able to increase student participation, understanding of Islamic values, and spiritual appreciation in daily life. Learning activities that accommodate various intelligences of students — linguistic, interpersonal, intrapersonal, musical, and kinesthetic — make the learning process more interactive and meaningful. This model is effective in establishing a balance between the intellectual, emotional, and spiritual aspects of students, so that it can be an alternative strategy for humanistic and contextual PAI learning.
