Moral education is one of the fundamental aspects of Islamic education that serves to shape the character and personality of Muslims as a whole. Morality in Islam encompasses not only outward behaviour, but also inner integrity that reflects a person's faith and piety. Moral education emphasises moral development based on the values of the Qur'an and hadith, as well as the example set by the Prophet Muhammad SAW as the ultimate role model. This article examines the concept of moral education in terms of its definition, theological basis, objectives, and methods of implementation in the context of formal and non-formal education. Through the approaches of exemplary behaviour, habit formation, advice, and spiritual reinforcement, moral education aims to shape individuals who are honest, disciplined, responsible, and behave nobly. Amidst the challenges of the modern era, such as moral degradation, the influence of technology, and social change, moral education has a strategic role in maintaining the stability of religious and social values. This study emphasises that moral education remains relevant and is a key pillar in nurturing a Muslim generation with character who contribute positively to society. Thus, moral education is an important foundation for creating a harmonious and dignified life.
